I'd like to understand a little more clearly why your experience was so bad. I've been an avid customer at Chez Josephine and am actually good friends with Jean Claude Baker. Josephine Baker was in fact his adoptive mother, as far as I know there was never an article in the New York Times that referred to otherwise, if there is I would love to see it. I would also like to add that you must be quite an inexperienced diner because a review claiming, `Food is horrible` is cryptic and unprofessional, if you didn't like something about it, why not explain it in clearer terms rather than generalize what is almost always referred to as a positive experience by most restaurant reviewers. Judging by your comment, I'm sure your experience there was less than satisfactory, but let's give credit where credit is due: This is a restaurant that has been around for 16 years, still visited by many celebrities, and constantly given great reviews by QUALIFIED professionals...So why try to steer people away? Just don't go back there....- Is follow up to post by fred236 ...
Food is horrible. The owner is
NOT Josephine Baker's son.
That was a scam exposed in the
New York Times. -- 11/23/2002 8:22:47 PM
